2022 Ford SuperDuty

The Ford F250 and F350, aka the Super Duty trucks, are the ultimate trucks that can get any job done. They’re large and powerful, and they’re two of the toughest machines known to man. The 2022 Ford Super Duty trucks should have the same characteristics. The following takes a looks at their highlights:

Features

The 2022 Super Duty is a part of the 4th generation of Ford’s heavy-duty trucks. The F250 2022 is in the ¾ ton class, while the F350 2022 falls into the 1-ton category. These beasts have 6 trim levels and they offer 3 powertrain options, with a diesel engine included. The towing and payload capacities are the highest in the class.

Powertrain and Numbers

The first powerplant on the Ford Super Duty 2022 is a 6.2-liter V8 that makes 385 hp and 430 lb-ft. You can upgrade to a 7.3-liter V8 which produces 430 hp and 475 lb-ft. For even heavier lifting, there’s the 6.7-liter Powerstroke turbodiesel churning out 475 hp and an insane 1050 lb-ft.

The transmissions available are 6- and 10-speed automatics. These send power to a rear- or 4-wheel drive system. Both the trucks are pretty quick, as they’re able to achieve stellar 0-60 mph times of around 7 seconds.

The towing and payload capacities of these trucks are insane. Equip the Super Duty 2022 right and you’ll be able to tow up to 37k lbs, making it a leader in the HD class. The Super Duty can also haul up to 7850 lbs, which is also more than what most people need.

Interior and Technology

Whether you have the Ford F 250 Super Duty 2022 or the F350, you can be sure to have a handsomely styled cabin. It has a posh feel to it despite these trucks being meant for heavy-duty usage.

The in-cabin storage is very generous and the more upscale trims even add some extra storage compartments to the truck.

The following are the 2022 Super Duty trim levels and the standard features offered on them:

2022 Super Duty XL

The 2022 Super Duty XL offers a lot of value despite being the entry-level trim. It comes with single-zone climate control, a 2.3-inch productivity screen with instrumentation on it, 4 to 6 speakers depending on your cab, etc. The safety features include a rearview camera. There are countless optional extras available to completely trick out this truck as well.

2022 Super Duty XLT

With this model, you get many upgrades. For example, along with powered windows and locks, there is a larger 4.2-inch instrumentation screen, keyless entry, and cruise control. You also get an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and a more premium audio system.

The additions to the safety offerings include automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring (w/rear cross-traffic alerts), and automatic high beams. For more practicality, you also get a 100V power outlet.

2022 Super Duty Lariat

The Lariat is considered to be the heart of any Ford truck’s trim lineup. Here it gets you goodies such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather-trimmed seats. The infotainment system is now offered with a premium 10-speaker stereo from B&O.

There are other additions to the standard technology like dual-zone climate control, an even larger 8-inch instrumentation cluster, parking sensors for the rear, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Ford also gives you an extra 100V power outlet.

The seats have a better layout for adjustability. The driver and the front passenger get 10- and 8-way power adjustabilities respectively.

2022 Super Duty King Ranch

The Super Duty King Ranch is even more high-end with its custom leather trimmings for the seats and the steering wheel (which is heated). The additional tech includes a remote start system, a wireless charging pad for your phone, plus heated and ventilated front seats.

The safety systems are also enhanced with add-ons such as trailer reverse guidance, forward-collision warning, and lane-keeping alert. You also get a center-high mounted camera.

2022 Super Duty Platinum

The Super Duty Platinum also comes with custom leather upholstery. On this trim, the rear seats are heated while the front ones receive memory functions. The cruise control is upgraded to an adaptive version and you get a 360-degree camera. On top of all that, you get a bunch of changes to the exterior.

2022 Super Duty Limited

The Limited is the top trim here and it is certainly worth the hype. Along with all the features above, it also comes with a moonroof, adaptive steering, upfitter switches for the worksite, and Admiral Blue leather trimmings.

Reliability and Warranty

Both the F250 and the Ford F 350 Super Duty 2022 have been given the predicted reliability rating of 83 out of 100, putting them in the Great class. The user reviews have also called these trucks reliable.

You get a limited warranty of 3 years/36k miles and a powertrain warranty of 5 years/60k miles. And yes, if you opt for the diesel engine, Ford will add 40k miles to the latter.

Verdict

It can be seen that the Ford Super Duty 2022 lives up to its reputation as the ultimate pickup truck range. The powertrain options provide everything from power to speed. The towing and payload ratings can even put some commercial trucks to shame.

The trim levels have something for everybody. The entry-level trims are rugged with all the essentials while the ones at the top are some of the fanciest in the automotive industry. There are a lot of safety- and worksite-oriented amenities offered.
